Farmforce is looking for a UX designer to lead and facilitate the management of our product portfolio. This role will report to the Head of Product and Development in Oslo, Norway, working independently and collaboratively within a small, dynamic team.

Job Summary

As the UX designer, you will design experiences for products, and think and iterate beyond screen user interface (UI) design. Conducting user testing early in the process and integrate applicable feedback in the design are important parts of the work and understanding how different user’s perspectives are.  The users vary from smallholders in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to employees from multi-national companies.

Cross functional facilitation with the different stakeholders will be an important part of the process of ensuring the best “First Mile System” in the agricultural marketplace. 

We are looking for a candidate demonstrating a sense of urgency and  passion in their work, and a desire to build on our current success and take our system to a new level of user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage a human-centered design process to deliver an easy-to-use user interface and user experience
  • Consider existing applications and evaluate their UX effectiveness
  • Research customers, competitors, and products
  • Develop personas, scenarios, and user stories
  • Work with stakeholders to identify requirements
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups
  • Develop and implement usability testing
  • Design for accessibility standards
  • Create and maintain usability documentation
  • Work with developers to ensure product quality
  • Work closely with product managers and marketing to maximize customer success
  • Ensure products are tested with customers  and validated against business goals

Fit Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, human-computer interaction, interaction design, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of UX design principles
  • User interface design
  • Graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Wireframing/prototyping tools such as Balsamiq or Sketch
  • Experience with UX design tools
  • Experience with user testing and usability analysis
